Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) is intended for healthcare providers working in the pediatric emergency setting or in a related medical field who will have contact with pediatric patients (e.g., emergency rooms, urgent care clinics, pediatricians). PALS is a classroom based instructor led course that  focuses on the individual and team building approach for pediatric emergencies (e.g., cardiac/respiratory arrest, mega-code, post arrest care, and related pharmacology). The AHA’s PALS Course has been updated to reflect new science in the 2015 AHA Guidelines Update for CPR and ECC .This course also covers several components of Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and each student is expected to have a working knowledge of said courses to complete the class. You must provide a current AHA BLS Provider card in order to take this course. For students that have taken the Heart-Code PALS course online through the American Heart website, please specify you are signing up for the skills session only.
